"Oh now, feel that sound
Rushin' through the fields and flowers
Her voice comin' through my dial
She's the one, I swear to God
Her frequency, she's got a frequency
And I caught it
All over me". Amelia Meath
The author George Saunders wrote that a story is "a system for the transfer of energy".
If a story is a system then a painting is a vessel for energy. The paint I use is made by heating or grinding pigments into powders and mixing them in paint which is physically applied to the canvas. That's energy. Add to that the ideas or thoughts or poetry that the artist instills into the work. It's all storied on the canvas and you can feel it every time you look upon it just like you feel the beat of music.
