New Work
It is winter in Michigan. All the leaves are off the trees other than some of the oak trees who will hang on to most of their leaves till spring. It has been very windy and I watch the Ravens who love to do aerobatics in the sky.
This is a potent time to be a painter.
It is the time to sleep in, go to bed early , and to read in front of the fire. I just finished Claire-Louise Bennett's Checkout 19 which has changed my 'want to do more writing' life. It's about.....books...growing up reading books...being a writer of books...and stupid men along the way.
Also Hospicing Modernity by Vanessa Machado De Oliveira which is about how modernity as we know it (abuse, oppression, greed, complicity) is dying and how we might be able to help with its end and end up helping us and the planet along the way.
This gallery will be where I showcase New Work and I look forward with sharing it with you.
